WHAT:
Bill Cull, Director, Government Marketing for FileNet, will deliver a
presentation on the benefits of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) for the
public sector with a focus on Web Content Management (WCM). The presentation
will include a case study on a WCM deployment within the U.S. Department of
State.
Featuring national E-Government leaders, the conference will explore
information technology's role in improving government efficiency. FileNet ECM
is helping government agencies achieve operational and cost efficiencies, and
also is playing a key role in critical government initiatives, such as
Homeland Security.
Additionally, FileNet and its ValueNet partners will demonstrate several
solutions for the government sector. These include:
* Case Management: CasePro for Government from Impact Innovations and
FileNet is a Web-based application that is designed to improve
caseworkers' productivity by managing business content and
streamlining processing. The solution enables information currently
maintained in paper folders to be securely stored in a central
electronic data repository, allowing authorized caseworkers to access
and share information, greatly improving content accuracy and
expediting access to services.
* Homeland Defense and Preparedness: Apex Innovations, a service
provider and systems development company, offers a solution designed
to coordinate the activities of various agencies so that
decision-making is streamlined and best practices are followed in
contingency scenarios. This solution is being implemented to support
homeland defense and preparedness in a major city in the Midwest,
where it will integrate 160 different agencies, including police, fire
and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) staff, and hospitals, to
streamline emergency preparedness, response, support and recovery.
* User-centric Web Content Management (WCM): Headstrong Public Sector
(HPS), a systems integrator, uses the FileNet WCM product in
combination with its user-centric website design methodology to
produce Internet, Intranet, and Extranet sites for the public sector.
With increased emphasis on improving citizens' access to public
information, it has become essential to organize and present this
information in a usable manner. HPS has partnered with FileNet at
several government agencies to provide public sector employees as well
as citizens with an intuitive, process-driven solution.
