Genetics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PDGM), a biotechnology company, announced today that
Peter G. Tombros has agreed to join its Board of Directors. Tombros is
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VivoQuest, a combinatorial chemistry
company focused on the rapid discovery and development of small molecule
drugs, and a former executive at Pfizer, Inc.

pharmaceutical sector to our Company. His vast experience in working with

Tombros has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VivoQuest since
2001. From 1994 to 2001, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer
of Enzon, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery,
development and commercialization of therapeutics to treat life-threatening
diseases. Before joining Enzon, Tombros spent 25 years at Pfizer, Inc. where
he helped build the pharmaceutical business as Vice President of Marketing of
Pfizer Laboratories, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Roerig
Division, Executive Vice President of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Vice
President of Corporate Strategic Planning of Pfizer, Inc. Tombros currently
serves on the boards of three public companies: Alpharma, Inc., Cambrex
Corporation and NPS Pharmaceuticals. He received a B.S. in Biological Sciences
and an M.S. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University, and an M.B.A.
from the Wharton Graduate School of Business.
