HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sentry Technology
Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: SKVY) announced today that it was recently
awarded contracts from Food Lion, Winn-Dixie, Metro AG and Coop Italy for
installation of SmartTrack in a distribution center and several retail stores.
Food Lion LLC, is a member of Delhaize America, the U.S. division of
Brussels-based Delhaize Group. Food Lion is one of the largest supermarket
chains in the United States with over 1,100 stores and 8 distribution centers
in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
Winn-Dixie headquartered in Jacksonville, Fl has 1,150 stores operating
primarily in the southern United States. Winn-Dixie as one of the original
users of SentryVision(R) recently completed a successful evaluation of the
SmartTrack system in several locations.
METRO AG Europe's second largest retailer with over 2,200 locations has
selected to install SmartTrack at a facility in Romania. The purchase comes
through UTI, Sentry's System Integrator in Eastern Europe.
Coop, a major retailing organization in Italy, with over 1,250 stores, has
purchased SmartTrack systems for several locations through Sentry's exclusive
distributor, Ultrak Italia.
