DETROIT, June 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ahmad Nasser, a software
engineer for Vector CANtech in Novi, Mich., drove away from the SAE 2008
World Congress in a new Dodge Nitro.
The car was awarded through a random drawing funded by Dassault
Systemes, whose flagship CAD program CATIA was used to design the Nitro.
Approximately 70 percent of the new vehicles on the road are designed in
CATIA.
To enter the drawing, SAE 2008 World Congress attendees participated in
SAE International's "Technology Trip Ticket" program. No purchase was
necessary, and participants did not need to be present at the drawing to
win.
This marks the second consecutive year that a car has been given away
to an attendee at the SAE World Congress. Dassault Systemes also sponsored
last year's program.
