UK Internet Security Company Features In Red Herring's Top 20 Hottest European Companies Listing

LONDON, June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Research Technologies, a UK based
internet security company, has been selected by Red Herring, leading business
technology magazine, as one of Europe's hottest 20 start-up companies, to
present at Venture Market 2001 in London this week.
Access Research Technologies provide businesses with next generation
internet security products, which focus on instant intruder rejection.
Products have been developed for desktops (incorporating ADSL), web-sites and
enterprises. Research is planned in wireless and 3G applications. The core
technology of the Preventon(TM) authentication range is based on a patent
pending 2048bit polymorphic-encryption authentication-control, which can
become "omnipresent" throughout protected systems.
Preventon protects the communication channels, which often carry critical
data to potential hackers by authenticating and authorising before a user
channel is ever formed. It also presents an opportunity for organisations to
redirect hackers to honey-pot trap servers, where a communications trace may
also be arranged.
Adrian Foulkes, CEO, Access Research Technologies said: "Being
short-listed as one of Europe's hottest top 20 start-ups by Red Herring is
fantastic. The marketplace is in urgent need of a fresh approach to security
as incidents of hacking continue to rise."
The key advantages of Preventon revolve around the premise that without a
connection there can be no internet attack.

-- Attackers are unable to establish an IP session
-- Continual authentication throughout an organisation cancels out
security "holes" that may exist in perimeter based architectures
-- Intelligent re-direct technology can make users effectively invisible
-- PKI applications can be complimented

Whilst complementing current perimeter defence technologies, it is
expected that this new approach to security will overtake the more commonly
offered solutions, as it allows an IP connection to be established, but only
after strict authentication is complete.
Foulkes concludes: "Our motivation has always been to design a next
generation technology that will help restore e-faith and allow the internet to
become a trusted channel and environment for everyone."

    Access Research Technologies
Soundvoice Ltd, t/a Access Research Technologies established trading in
February 2001. Preventon took three years to develop prior to the company
establishing. The company is venture capital funded by private equity
investment. It operates from Reading, UK. Visit http://www.accessdenied.com .
