RICHMOND, Va., June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal Reserve Bank of
Richmond's Community Affairs Office will host "Community Development:
Enhancing Opportunities" in Charlottesville, Va., on June 27, 2002. The public
forum will be held at the Omni Charlottesville Hotel located at 235 West Main
Street.
Feature speaker Adele Johnson, president of the Virginia Regional Minority
Supplier Development Council, will discuss the importance of partnering with
local and national minority business associations and ways to enhance
community development.
In addition, the Fed's Community Affairs staff will present its study
findings, Community Investment Opportunities in the Charlottesville, Virginia
Metropolitan Statistical Area; Associate Economist Bob Lacy will provide an
economic snapshot of the region and the nation; and a regional expert will
lead a discussion on small and minority business creation.
