Xtend Networks' Cable-Tec Expo Demonstration to Include T1, 3GHz, 'Last Mile' Wireless Solutions

    ATLANTA, June 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Xtend Networks(TM), a Vyyo
company (Nasdaq: VYYO), will demonstrate products and systems designed to ease
deployment and increase return from its advanced broadband solutions for the
cable TV industry at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers
Cable-Tec Expo June 15-17 in San Antonio, TX.
In its booth (#827) at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Xtend will
show new versions of its XMTS T1 Access Concentrator(TM) and its XHUB
bandwidth expansion node product; will demonstrate "last mile" wireless
solutions for the cable telecommunications industry; and will unveil its T1/E1
Network Monitoring System for simplified management of Xtend products in the
field.
"The delivery of high bandwidth commercial and residential services is a
next frontier for cable," said Bill Keating, CEO of Xtend Networks. "Our
innovative products and technologies enable the industry to improve its
competitive position and generate revenue faster through new, differentiated
commercial grade services and subscriber applications."

Among the products and systems on display at the Xtend booth will be:
-- Three versions of the XMTS T1 Access Concentrator: The XMTS-28 with
       24 T1 ports and a single DS3 interface; the XMTS-48 with 48 T1 ports
and 12 upstream and eight downstream RF ports; and the XMTS-56,
supporting two DS3 ports and featuring 12 upstream and eight downstream
RF ports. Applications: Cellular Backhaul; Small to Medium Sized
       Commercial Services, and Enterprise
    -- The XHUB 3006, a node product in Xtend's 3GHz architecture that
performs block frequency up-conversion for downstream traffic and
demultiplexing and down conversion of upstream blocks -- resulting in a
doubling of downstream bandwidth and a 10x increase in upstream
       capacity.  Applications:  100s of High Definition Channels;
       High-Definition TV-on-Demand; Ultra high-speed Data Services; Targeted,
Symmetrical Bandwidth for Residential and Commercial Services.
-- "Last mile" wireless solutions that enable cable system operators to
capitalize on the wireless expertise and technology of Xtend and its
       parent company, Vyyo Inc.  Applications:  Point-to-Multipoint Wireless;
T1/E1 Backhaul (including Cellular); MTU/MDU deployments; Wireless
       Internet Services; Wireless Hotspot Backhaul.
-- An open-standards based T1/E1 Network Monitoring System that reduces
operational costs and speeds deployment by centralizing performance,
event and alarms management, provisioning, remote software upgrades and
       user information databases.

"Each cable system has different specific requirements, but they all have
a common need for the ability to provide high bandwidth services," said David
Nicholas, senior vice president for strategic sales for Xtend Networks. "By
providing T1, 3GHz and wireless solutions, we can help operators use their
existing infrastructure to more rapidly provide services that will
differentiate them from competitors and increase return on investment."
Xtend's T1 solution currently is being trialed by cable operators in
multiple markets. Xtend's solution for the delivery of 3 GHz of bandwidth
over 860 MHz coaxial plant has already led to its becoming an approved vendor
of Cox Communications.

    Safe Harbor Statement
Statements made in this press release and at the show relating to the
future, including those related to the potential for Xtend's systems to enable
the cable industry to provide symmetrical voicegrade T1, 100s of high
definition channels, high-definition TV-on-demand, ultra high-speed data
services, cellular backhaul and MTU/MDU deployments and to economically
enhance their networks, are forward-looking statements within the meaning of
the "safe harbor" provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act
of 1995. Because these forward-looking statements involve risks and
uncertainties, there are important factors that could cause our actual results
to differ materially from those in the forward-looking statements. These
factors include, without limitation, the current limited visibility available
in the telecommunications and broadband access equipment markets; whether
Xtend will be able to move from the development stage to deployment and
establish commercial relationships with the cable system operators; whether
cable system operators will successfully test and then deploy those Xtend
solutions presently involved in trials; whether the cable industry will be
willing and able to substantially increase the available bandwidth on their
networks and do so using Xtend's alternative technology solution; and other
risks set forth in Vyyo's annual report on Form 10-K for the year ended
December 31, 2004, its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the three months
ended March 31, 2005 and in other periodic reports filed by Vyyo with the
Securities and Exchange Commission from time to time. Vyyo assumes no duty to
update these statements.
