HOUSTON, TX USA
HOUSTON and SAN ANTONIO, June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- During the final pre-show
hours before the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, Superconnect announced the worldwide,
production release of version 2.0 of their popular cable monitoring
software, CableAware.
    CableAware is Superconnect's award-winning, web-based monitoring platform
for cable operators that require real-time monitoring of a large-scale
cable system with hundreds of thousands or millions of CPE (customer
premise equipment) devices such as cable modems, set-top boxes, and VoIP
MTAs.
CableAware auto-discovers all the CPE gear on an MSO's network and
provides countless ways to monitor performance, reliability, trends,
alarms, and outages. The data is available to everyone from the
engineering level to CSR (customer services representatives) to technicians
in the field via a versatile, flexible web interface.

     New Features in CableAware 2.0:

     * Nationwide Street Mapping With Geolocation -- Visualize problems with
attractive, intuitive, real-time maps of a provider's service area to
determine if a problem is localized or widespread. Easy integration
with call systems to allow CSRs to immediately determine if the issue
needs escalation based on the severity of an outage. GPS coordinates
are not required to be entered in billing system; CableAware supports
sophisticated geolocation and can display maps purely based on street
       address and zip code.

     * Network Map Overlay -- Providers can import their AutoCAD-compatible
network diagram into CableAware to overlay over street maps or to
directly view network layout with CPE gear.

     * Motorola Support -- Fully integrated, native support for Motorola cable
overlay including Motorola NC1500s and related equipment.

     * More Intuitive -- by carefully analyzing the direct use of existing
CableAware customers, Superconnect has been able to create a vastly
more intuitive interface that expects the reactions of a user and
displays data in a way that is most efficient with available links to
       relevant pages.

Cable service operators interested in Superconnect's CableAware technology
can visit booth #9040 at SCTE Cable-Tec for a demo and arrange for a
full-scale deployment within 90 days.
Superconnect currently provides solutions and software for Tier 1 MSOs
in the US as well as OEM software for cable and FTTx hardware vendors
in the United States.
