HouseRaising Names Philip I. Amos to Head Marketing of Disaster Relief Consulting and Home Rebuilding in Gulf Coast Region

    CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- HouseRaising, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: HRAI.OB), a managed service provider that uses its
patent-pending software and support system to manage custom home projects
for affiliated builders, today announced that it has named Philip I. Amos
as Marketing Executive of disaster relief consulting and home rebuilding in
Zone Two, the Gulf Coast.
Operating out of HouseRaising's Gulf Port headquarters, Amos will make
presentations and conduct seminars to introduce HouseRaising Disaster
Relief consulting and home rebuilding services to individuals and
organizations in the region damaged by Hurricane Katrina. He will also
directly market both the Disaster Relief software and HouseRaising System C
custom homebuilding program to homeowners and public agencies acting on
behalf of homeowners. He will report to President Robert McLemore.
Amos has for the past year worked as a Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) contract investigator for hurricane-affected housing in New
Orleans and the Gulf Coast for Parsons-Brinckerhoff, one of the world's
leading planning, engineering, program and construction management firms.
Prior to joining Parsons-Brinckerhoff in 2004, Amos was a consulting
project officer in the Homeland Security Division of FEMA. He also has
nearly twenty years of experience in home construction.
Greg Wessling, chairman and chief executive officer of HouseRaising,
said, "Phil's multifaceted background in evaluating hurricane-damaged
housing, FEMA and home construction is the ideal preparation for bringing
HouseRaising's disaster relief and homebuilding solutions to homeowners and
public agencies in the Gulf Coast region."
Phil Amos added, "I was amazed when HouseRaising's Disaster Relief
Software solution was explained to me. It is the most efficient and
effective consulting service in the region today and I am delighted to be
representing it to homeowners, homebuilders and public agencies who face
the monumental challenge of evaluating what must be done, the costs of
replacing damaged housing and the task of rebuilding."
"I believe that the HouseRaising Disaster Relief Software and System C
custom home building program will provide the victims of Hurricane Katrina
with a satisfactory new home and, in fact, that they will find the
experience a pleasurable one," he added.
Amos, who holds a law degree from Lincoln University Law School in San
Jose, CA, as well as a B.A. degree from San Jose State University, is a
licensed general contractor in the States of California, Florida,
Washington, Arizona, Texas and Delaware. In addition to managing
