announced that John Campanioni has been named Metro Division Commercial
Banking Market President, with responsibility for business banking in the
New York metropolitan region, including all of New Jersey, New York City
and Long Island.
Thomas Iadanza, Commercial Banking President of the Metro NY-NJ
Division of Sovereign, said, "John brings nearly 40 years of commercial
banking experience and expertise in the metropolitan market to this post
and will be a strong leader for our experienced team of relationship

Campanioni joined Sovereign Bank in April 2004 as Senior VP-Credit
Director/Business Banking-NJ. Previously he had held a series of senior
level positions at JP Morgan/Chase in the retail, credit and middle market
areas. Campanioni has a BA, cum laude, from St Peter's College, where he
studied accounting and business administration. Over the years he has been
active in many business and civic organizations, including, Commerce and
Industry Association of New Jersey, the Morris County Chamber of Commerce,
Garden State Credit Associates, Regional Business Partnership and Cancer
Care of New Jersey.
