First Virtual Communications Announces Results of Its Annual Meeting of Stockholders

    SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
First Virtual Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: FVCX), or the Company, a leading
provider of rich media Web conferencing and collaboration solutions for IP and
other networks, today announced the results of the stockholder votes for the
four proposals under consideration at the Company's Annual Meeting of
Stockholders, held earlier today.  The Company's stockholders approved the
proposal to elect Adam Stettner and Robert W. Wilmot as directors of the
Company to serve until the 2005 annual meeting. In addition, the Company's
stockholders approved their amendments to the Company's 1997 Non-Employee
Directors' Stock Option Plan and the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
as independent auditors for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2002. The
Company's stockholders did not approve the series of amendments to the
Company's Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation that would have
enabled the Company to effect a reverse stock split of the Company's Common
stock.
    A full tally of the votes will be published in the Company's quarterly
report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2002. The results can be
obtained before the filing of such quarterly report on Form 10-Q that date
from Timothy Rogers, Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
