OpenTV to Showcase Advanced Interactive TV Solutions at the 2005 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo

Engineers (SCTE) 2005 Cable-Tec Expo from June 15 - 17, at the Henry B.

demonstrate its middleware running on both Motorola and Scientific-Atlanta
set-top boxes, enabling a broad range of innovative interactive digital

    The demonstrations will focus on showing North American cable operators
how to fully leverage OpenTV's suite of product offerings to help them quickly
respond to competitive threats from other platforms, differentiate their
products, engage their viewers and launch revenue-generating services on any
set-top box and any platform in any market. OpenTV's demonstrations will
include:

    -- Interactive applications running on legacy set-top boxes.
    -- Integration of OpenTV middleware with Interactive Program Guides (IPG),
       including Gemstar-TV Guide i-Guide(TM).
    -- Integrated Advertising and Infrastructure Solutions -- iAds and
       AdVision:  enabling interactive advertising, addressable advertising,
       telescoping and traffic and billing solutions.
    -- Channels and Content Solutions -- Enhanced television solutions,
       including mosaic channels, and the latest content from one of the
       world's leading games channels, PlayJam.
    -- Broadband iTV (BBiTV) -- Local content solutions that enable
       interactive community channels in cooperation with local cable
       operators and telco providers. Running on a Scientific-Atlanta set-top
       box with Bluestreak Flash(R) engine on top of the OpenTV middleware
       platform.
