ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Republic Bancorp Inc.
(Nasdaq: RBNC), today announced the recipients of scholarship awards through
its "Sons & Daughters Scholarship Program." A total of 28 high school
seniors, graduates, or college under-graduates each will receive $250 toward
undergraduate tuition for the 2005-2006 school year. To be eligible,
applicants must be children, step-children or legal dependents of full-time or
part-time employees of Republic Bancorp Inc. or its affiliates, and enrolled
or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited college,
university, technical or vocational school. Since the program's inception,
Republic has awarded a total of 266 scholarships.
