ATLANTA, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- This Father's Day weekend, 40 living
veterans out of the original 500 men that served in World War II as part of
the 630th Tank Destroyer Battalion, will reunite to reminisce and share
their war experiences. These men fought in 5 of the 6 European campaigns
and were often recognized as the "fightingest battalion during WWII."

7:30 AM - 10:00 AM Continental Breakfast, Registration, and
Visitation in Hospitality Suite
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM Complimentary Drop-in Lunch at the Veterans
Pavilion, located down the street at the
Marina. Turn left as you exit the
Plantation Inn, travel about 1/2 mile and
turn left into the Riverboat Marina
Complex. The Veterans Pavilion is on your
right.
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Hospitality Suite open for Visitation
4:30 PM A representative of the "Honoring the
Greatest Generation Committee" will be in
the Hospitality Suite to interview Vets for
a documentary that is being prepared for
the Library of Congress. (More detailed
information is included in your welcome
package.)
6:00 PM BBQ Supper at the Veterans Pavilion,
followed by the choral group Chorale II,
featuring songs from the period and sing-a-
longs
9:00 PM Stone Mountain Laser Show on the Lawn.
Seats have been reserved for veterans and
widows in the Handicapped seating area.
Otherwise, all families are on their own
for the Laser Show.
