today announced that the Securities and Exchange Commission has declared
effective the Form 10 Registration Statement for IMS HEALTH Incorporated. The
SEC declaration, combined with the previously received ruling from the
Internal Revenue Service as to the tax-free treatment of the proposed
transaction, allows Cognizant to proceed with its separation into two public
corporations -- IMS HEALTH and Nielsen Media Research.
