"Noveon's entry into hair fixative polymers represents a natural extension
of our polymer technology into an area of the personal care market where we
have extensive expertise in product and applications development," Bill
Sedlacek, Noveon Sr. Vice President and General Manager, Personal Care and
Pharmaceuticals, said. "Our Carbopol(R) brand polymers are essential
ingredients in many personal care systems. With the introduction of
Fixate(TM) G-100 Polymer, we can now provide the formulator with more of the
key ingredients needed for the creation of high performance hair styling
products."
Fixate(TM) G-100 Polymer, based on patented Noveon technology, is a water
based polymer that imparts multiple benefits to styling products, including
greatly improved humidity resistance, decreased tackiness and flaking and
enhanced hair appearance. Fixate(TM) G-100 Polymer is a low viscosity liquid,
which requires no dispersion or neutralization. It provides formulators with
enhanced ease of use versus many traditional hair fixative polymers. The INCI
designation for Fixate(TM) G-100 Polymer is AMP-Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate
Copolymer.
Noveon is a leading global producer and marketer of technologically
advanced specialty chemicals for a broad range of consumer and industrial
