CHICAGO, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Borg-Warner Security Corporation
(NYSE: BOR) today announced that, at the request of Merrill Lynch & Co., the
proposed secondary offering of Borg-Warner common stock held by certain
Merrill Lynch affiliated entities has been postponed.
Borg-Warner also announced that it had received an unsolicited preliminary
indication of interest from another company that would involve a business
combination between that company and Borg-Warner. No offer has been received
and Borg-Warner has no basis for determining when or whether any offer will be
made or, if one is made, whether it would be acceptable to Borg-Warner.
