J.D. Edwards' Users Group Conference Features Speakers Bill Gates
And Lou Holtz
ATLANTA, June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Bull Run Corporation (Nasdaq: BULL)
subsidiary, Host Communications, Inc., an association management and affinity
marketing firm, today kicked off the FOCUS 2000 conference in Denver for
Quest, the independent, international users group for J.D. Edwards customers.
The conference runs through Thursday, June 22nd, with attendance of more than
8,000 participants.
Host provides services to Quest which include member communication,
recruitment and retention; database management; printing and design;
conference planning, marketing and administration; and web site development.
Host specializes in unique management of nationally known associations and
organizations including the National Tour Association, a client since 1974,
the International SPA Association, the National Limousine Association and the
National Athletic Trainers' Association.
"Quest is one of our fastest-growing accounts, and we believe the online
registration system to be a tremendous success," said W. James Host, President
and CEO of Host Communications, which has overseen management of Quest and the
FOCUS conference since 1998. "Affinity marketing is a significant part of our
overall business, and Quest is a perfect example of how an organization which
'talks' to an audience of shared interests can uniquely market, communicate
and meet the needs of that particular group. Affinity marketing is distinct
and our company is continually looking at ways to further capitalize on
enhancing that end of our business."
Quest's FOCUS 2000 conference and vendor showcase is the premier forum for
users for educational and professional development, networking and
introductions to new technologies, services and issues. In addition to J.D.
Edwards' President and CEO C. Edward McVaney and COO Dave Girard, Microsoft's
Bill Gates and storied football coach Lou Holtz will be featured speakers. At
the event, J.D. Edwards will unveil a new corporate strategy and solutions for
B2B fulfillment and supply chain collaboration for the extended enterprise.
Bull Run, through Host, provides specialized marketing and management
services to corporate clients focusing primarily on sports-related affinity
groups. Datasouth Computer Corporation, a manufacturer of computer printers,
also operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Bull Run. In addition to Gray
