Inc. (Nasdaq: TLGD), a leading supplier of network service assurance
products for the cable and telecom industries, today introduced the
company's new DigiTest(R) ICE(TM) IP Service Assurance Probe for remote

As triple play services continue rapid growth through deployment over
Fiber to the Node (FTTN) access methods, remote sites are supporting fewer
subscribers via lower-line-count DSLAMs, located closer to the subscriber.
As a result, service providers are challenged to provide more
cost-effective and efficient service assurance solutions. The DigiTest ICE
is uniquely designed for installation at these remote DSLAM locations,
providing powerful visibility into the customer experience at an acceptable
cost per line.
DigiTest ICE delivers a full suite of metallic, xDSL and multi-layered
IP service assurance applications that have been optimized for remote
low-line- count DSLAMs including:
* xDSL Pre-Qualification -- Analysis of a DSLAM-based metallic loop's
ability to support a wide variety of xDSL services prior to service
delivery.
* Network Verification -- Synchronization with xDSL DSLAM and CPE
modems; ATM/Ethernet network emulation, enabling network
connectivity, authentication and performance.
* IP Service Assurance -- High-speed Internet, VoIP and IPTV client
emulation; allowing operators to remotely detect and isolate Layer
4-7 service performance troubles.
"With its compact size, flexible mounting configurations and low power
consumption, DigiTest ICE provides service providers with a powerful
service assurance solution for today's highly distributed IP triple play
network architectures," stated Mark B. Peterson, Tollgrade's President and
Chief Executive Officer. "When deployed in concert with DigiTest HUB(TM) at
high- density central offices and DigiTest EDGE(R) at high-density remotes,
DigiTest ICE is a great addition to our DigiTest product family, now
providing optimal test coverage at every point within today's emerging FTTx
access networks."
When managed by the LoopCare(TM) Test Operations Support System,
Tollgrade's DigiTest product family, including DigiTest ICE, allows service
providers to efficiently offer and maintain multiple IP services,
proactively identify network issues and faults prior to subscriber trouble
reports, reduce trouble ticket volume and minimize costly dispatches
through expert trouble analysis. These benefits all translate into reduced
operating expenses and increased subscriber satisfaction.
DigiTest ICE is currently available for customer trials, and is
expected to be available for volume shipments beginning in the second half
of 2007.
