Australian Pavilion to Feature Over 40 Biotechnology Innovators
SAN DIEGO, June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Growth and Global Outreach is the key
emerging theme from the soon to be released Australian Biotechnology Report
2001, a collaborative study by Ernst & Young, Freehills and the Australian
Government. The Australian biotechnology sector has experienced significant
growth since 1999 with a total of at least 190 core biotech companies and
450 biotech related firms. This is a net increase of about 70 core biotech
companies since the publication of the first Australian Biotechnology Report

are over 150 potential products in clinical or field trials. The report will
be available at the Australian Pavilion at Bio 2001, June 24-27, San Diego.
