DETROIT, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Association of Business
Communicators (IABC) Detroit chapter recently awarded Kristy Krupp with
IABC/Detroit's Student Achievement Award during the chapter's annual
Renaissance Award ceremonies.
Krupp, of New Lothrop, Michigan is currently completing her degree program
at the University of Michigan - Flint, and is majoring in marketing and
operations.
IABC/Detroit's Student Achievement Award recognizes the outstanding work
and efforts put forth by undergraduate communication students in the southeast
Michigan area. Entrants submit projects completed during an internship, class
projects or for campus activities.
Krupp's winning entry focused on the redesign of an existing web site, a
program she spearheaded during her internship with Genesee Valley Center in
Flint, Michigan. Krupp established the web redesign criteria, worked with two
outside web design firms to gather competitive bids and successfully guided
her team at Genesee Valley in making their final redesign decisions. "The
judges realized the insight, ingenuity and leadership that Kristy used when
developing and implementing this project," said 2004-2005 IABC/Detroit
President Lynn Baldwin.
As the winner of the Student Achievement Award for 2005, Krupp receives a
$250 cash prize, a year's free membership in IABC and a personalized plaque
for display.
IABC/Detroit sponsors the Student Achievement Award competition each year,
in conjunction with the annual Renaissance Awards. Entries for next year's
student competition will be due in March of 2006.
