PORTLAND, Ore., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Willamette Industries, Inc.
(NYSE: WLL) has completed the previously-announced acquisition of Darbo, S.A.,
a private French company with a modern particleboard plant in Linxe, France.
The facility produces 250,000 cubic meters of particleboard annually and
Willamette plans to make modifications to increase production to 470,000 cubic
meters.
Willamette Industries is an integrated forest products company with
100 plants, located in the U.S., Ireland, France and Mexico. The company owns
1.7 million acres of forestland in the U.S. and manages it sustainably to
produce building materials, composite wood panels, fine paper, office paper
products, corrugated packaging and grocery bags.
