CHICAGO, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Borg-Warner Protective Services, a
subsidiary of Borg-Warner Security Corporation (NYSE: BOR), today announced
that it has been awarded a four-year nuclear security contract from Florida
Power Corporation to provide service at its Crystal River Plant in Florida.
The contract is valued in excess of $20 million, and will employ more than
100 security personnel. SBI Nuclear, a unit of Borg-Warner, has provided
nuclear security services to Florida Power Corporation since 1994.
This contract renewal recognizes the valued relationship between SBI
Nuclear and Florida Power Corporation. SBI Nuclear's security program focuses
on employee development and training through several state-of-the-art
innovative programs and provides high quality security services to the nuclear
industry. Borg-Warner's Energy and Government Services Unit provides security
at 25 nuclear power plants and seven Department of Energy facilities in the
United States and has over 30 years experience in this specialized field.
