Starmet Corporation Announces Bank Agreement
 
    CONCORD, Mass., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Starmet Corporation
(Nasdaq: STMT), a Concord, Massachusetts based manufacturer of specialized
metal products, today announced that it has agreed to terms with its principal
lender to amend its current forbearance agreement extending it into calendar
year 2000.  As the Company continues to invest in existing and emerging
technologies, this amendment will give the Company more time to fully develop
new commercial products that could make significant contributions to the
future profitability of the Company.
