Wireless Technologies are the Hottest Technology
NEW YORK, June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A just-released survey of the
pre-registered attendees of PC EXPO/TECHXNY (http://www.techxny.com), which
launches its 20th Annual event tomorrow, Tuesday, June 25th at the Jacob K.
Javits Convention Center in New York, ranked security as by far the most
pressing challenge to be addressed in the next 18 months by attendees'
organizations. Security also ranked high (tied for #2) in attendees picks for
hot products and technologies in the marketplace, but was outpaced by wireless
technologies which were number one.
The survey, conducted by Decipher, Incorporated, tapped PC EXPO attendees
for their perspective on the business-technology challenges confronting their
organizations. "In the next 18 months PC EXPO/TECHXNY attendees will be
dealing with wireless access issues, connecting a mobile workforce, and
serving data and applications through a Web browser," observed Christina
Condos, Show Director for PC EXPO/TECHXNY. "All that additional access only
heightens already strong concerns about security. Access and security need to
go hand-in-hand."

"PC EXPO/TECHXNY attendees are a perfect audience to use as a barometer on
what's hot in technology," commented Ms. Condos. "They are on a constant
quest for new products an technologies. The number one reason they'll be
attending PC EXPO/TECHXNY this week is to evaluate technology products for
purchase."
Companies will be demonstrating products from every major category at the
20th Annual PC EXPO exhibition. "Exhibitors will be happy this week because
there is no better buyer than one who thinks your product is hot. Attendees
will be happy because they'll be surrounded by the hot products their
organizations need. This is going to be a great event," Ms. Condos concluded.
