The SiPix iQuest Roam is a full-featured USB video camera, video
conferencing, and digital camera all in one. Featuring eight megabytes

slot and a built-in flash, the camera can be untethered from the PC and used
inside or outdoors, day or night, to capture digital still pictures.
"DualCams like the SiPix iQuest Roam, featuring CompactFlash media
capabilities and its low price point, offer digital camera users the best of
both worlds," according to IDC research analyst for digital cameras and
scanners, Chris Chute. "This camera has one of the best balances of features
and price for any DualCam on the market."
"We wanted to bring to market a DualCam that you could take on vacation as
well as use everyday back home or at the office on the desktop," said
Michael Weizer, director of product marketing for SiPix, Inc. "Adding a
CompactFlash slot makes this a truly portable camera. Now if you need to take
400 or more pictures, you can. Plus, this camera provides useable versatility
everyday, whether it's snapping pictures on the road or sending video email to
friends or family from the home or office."
Other features include a 10-second self-timer, a macro lens ring for close
up stills or video and a tilt/swivel base. Using the included software, users
can turn their video clips into video mail, or have live video conferences
over the Internet and much more.
The software accompanying the camera is extensive for even the most
expensive cameras. MGI PhotoSuite III SE provides a creative canvas for users
to create calendars, invitations and greeting cards. Odyssey Multimedia
Gallery enables people to create video mail that can be sent to and opened in
a self-extracting format that runs on any platform. Odyssey also includes the
