CLEVELAND, June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Noveon, Inc. announced a $0.04/lb.
price increase on all grades of Freechem(R) 40% glyoxal, effective July 15,
2002, or as contracts allow. Glyoxal is widely used as a raw material for the
manufacture of textile and paper resins and pharmaceutical intermediates for
the production of imidazoles.

Noveon, Inc. also announced a $0.03/lb. price increase on all glyoxal
based resins, effective July 15, 2002. Glyoxal based resins are widely used
in the textile and paper industry to impart shrinkage control and improve wet
and dry strength performance.
