NEW YORK, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive Software today announced new
Diskeeper 6.0 Second Edition, which will be made available to media attending
PC Expo. Already the fastest, smartest and most efficient network
defragmenter available; Diskeeper 6.0 Second Edition includes advances that
enable it to defragment even faster than earlier versions.
Out performing all other commercially available defrag utilities, an
independent test report being presented by the CEO of NSTL at PC Expo this
week also reveals that Diskeeper defragments a disk significantly more
thoroughly and from 300 to 500% faster than even the disk defragmenter
included in the Windows 2000 operating system. And, according to earlier
independent tests, Diskeeper provides system performance gains on Windows
NT(R) / 2000 by as much as 200 percent.
Despite the increase in speed, Diskeeper, the number one selling
defragmenter for the enterprise according to PC Data, "uses only one third of
the memory and one fifth of the CPU resources when compared to other

However, because these guidelines places these critical system files
beyond the range of routine defragmentation methods, Microsoft also notes
that, "The standard solution is to defragment the MFT and the Paging File
