Perseus Puts Survey Power in The Palm of Your Hands With Survey Software for Palm Computers
    BRAINTREE, Mass., June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Perseus Development Corporation
announced today at PC Expo a new survey application for Palm-Powered(TM)
handheld computers.  SurveySolutions In Hand allows for the creation of
surveys that can be deployed on a handheld computer, eliminating the need for
paper-based surveys.  Once the surveys are completed, the survey administrator
can compile and analyze the results and display them instantly in tables or
graphs.
    SurveySolutions In Hand can be distributed at conferences and training
forums to Palm users, for attendees to complete satisfaction and feedback
surveys.  A custom version of SurveySolutions In Hand made its debut at the
PalmSource Conference 2000, last December in Santa Clara, CA.  During the
conference, attendees completed one or more surveys that they had downloaded
along with the conference agenda information.  At the end of the event,
attendees uploaded their completed questionnaires using HotSync devices, so
that conference staff could compile and analyze the results.
    SurveySolutions In Hand can also be used by field-sales and field-service
staff to gather feedback from customers and prospects.  The field staff use
SurveySolutions In Hand to ask respondents questions and record the answers.
If their organization uses SurveySolutions Enterprise, they can HotSync with
their Windows system and have all the results be added to a common Oracle, SQL
Server, DB2 or other SQL database.
    Priced at $229, SurveySolutions In Hand is the latest product in the
SurveySolutions product family, and includes a Windows application for
designing, administering and analyzing surveys, as well as a Palm OS
application for data collection.  Questionnaires are designed in a familiar
word-processor environment, and can be imported from Microsoft Word.
SurveySolutions offers excellent integration with Microsoft Office (Office 97,
2000 or XP); results can be exported to Microsoft Excel or Access, and
presentations can be exported to Microsoft PowerPoint.
