                               Documents a Snap

    NEW YORK, (PC Expo Booth # 4516), June 27 /PRNewswire/ --
Ricoh Silicon Valley, Inc. (RSV) and Snap Appliances, a wholly-owned
subsidiary of Quantum Corporation (NYSE: DSS), today announced the
availability of an ideal solution for corporate workgroups that need easy
document capture, indexing, archiving and retrieval. The eCabinet(TM) 2100 and
the Snap Server(R) 4100 solution brings end-to-end electronic file management
to the server room, all efficiently packaged in two 1U (1.75") products. With
this solution, any business can now affordably scale up to 2.5 terabytes of
data to store and retrieve approximately 10,000,000 documents.

The key elements of the eCabinet/Snap Server solution include:

    -- Ricoh Silicon Valley's eCabinet 2100 is a 1U (1.75") rack-mountable
intelligent electronic file cabinet for storing, sharing, and finding
critical paper documents, faxes, and digital files. Using TCP/IP,
Optical Character Recognition (OCR), auto-indexing, and browser-based
technology, eCabinet 2100 securely captures documents, and extracts
essential information to create a detailed index. Full content and
keyword search allows for simple end-user retrieval. RSV's eCabinet
allows workgroups to access and share paper and electronic documents
with the characteristic ease-of-use and power that distinguishes all of
Ricoh's digital office products. The eCabinet 2100 brings front-end
document file management to the solution for easy retrieval from the
       Snap Server 4100.
-- Snap Appliances' Snap Server 4100 offers the award-winning features
that have distinguished Snap Server Network Attached Storage (NAS)
products from the competition, including affordability, reliability,
performance and multi-platform support as a dedicated file server in a
slim, 1U form factor that mounts in a standard 19-inch rack or on a
desktop. The Snap Server 4100 is available in 160GB or 300GB capacities
and comes pre-configured to RAID 5 or can be configured to
RAID 1, 0, or JBOD. As like the other Snap Server products, the Snap
Server 4100 installs in just five minutes and can be used for workgroup
storage, remote office installations, file sharing, desktop backup, and
data protection needs. The Snap Server 4100 brings reliable, secure and
centralized backup and storage to the solution, taking advantage of
eCabinet 2100's automatic backup and space optimization features.

"eCabinet 2100 and the Snap Server 4100 are a natural fit because they are
both network appliances, targeted toward corporate workgroups, and both
products are designed to help people find and share information easily and
affordably," said James Harris, Executive Vice President of Sales and
Marketing for RSV.
"The ability of the Snap Server 4100 and the eCabinet 2100 to work in
concert, will provide customers with an affordable and scalable document
storage and protection solution," said Sara Spivey, vice president of
marketing for Snap Appliances. "These network appliances are an exciting
alternative to the more traditional and costly forms of document management."
