Mobility Electronics Showcases 'Pitch for Palm' - The First Palm Handheld-Based Presentation Graphics Solution - at PC Expo

Solution Allows Mobile Users to Present PowerPoint-based Presentations
Using Palm Handhelds Instead of Laptops

    SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Mobility Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBE), a leading provider of innovative
portable computing solutions for the mobile computer user, announced that it
is demonstrating "Pitch for Palm" at PC Expo this week in New York City.
Pitch for Palm, the first Palm(TM) handheld-based solution that allows users
to present dynamic presentations using Palm handhelds, is being showcased at
PC Expo's ShowStoppers event and can also be seen in the iGo product area in
the Palm Solutions Pavilion on the show floor.
Pitch for Palm enables mobile users for the first time to leave their
bulky laptops behind in favor of their Palm handhelds, giving road warriors
the only tool they need for fast, easy and reliable presentations.
After creating a slideshow at the office and synchronizing the show to
their Palm handheld or SD Expansion Card, users simply clip Pitch for Palm to
the back of any Palm m125, m130, m500, m505, m515 or i705 handheld and attach
the handheld to a video projector or video monitor. In seconds, the
presentation is ready for viewing -- no laptop re-booting, reconfiguring
external video ports or re-setting laptop video driver settings required.
Users can view slides and notes on their Palm handheld while presenting, and
because the solution offers simultaneous charging, the handheld will remain
fully charged even after a lengthy presentation. In addition, the product is
bundled with a travel kit, which safely and compactly carries the Palm
handheld, the presentation solution and travel charger.
"The feedback we're getting from beta users of this product is
phenomenal," said Jeff Doss, executive vice president of Mobility Electronics.
"Users from major national and international corporations are praising us for
developing such a powerful, innovative solution. They're pleased with the
easy-to-use features and simultaneous charging capability Pitch for Palm
provides, and thrilled that it offers a solution for lugging around their
heavy laptops."
"We strive to provide innovative handheld computing solutions that give
our customers access to the information they need when they need it," said
Paul Leeper, director of Market Development, Solutions Marketing, at Palm,
Inc. "Relationships with market leaders like Mobility Electronics allow us to
offer products like Pitch for Palm that allow our customers to carry one
device -- their Palm -- for all their mobile needs."
"Handheld solutions represent a key element of Mobility Electronics'
growth and strength as a company," said Don Johnson, COO of Mobility
Electronics. "Developing innovative products like Pitch for Palm is vital in
helping us reach a central goal of ours -- to be the leader in providing
solutions to the handheld market."
Pitch for Palm will be available beginning this summer through Ingram
Micro and iGo; pricing will begin at $279. For more information on the
product, please visit http://www.igo.com/pitch or contact Alan Work at Mobility
Electronics at (480) 596-0061, ext. 233.
