GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
BestNet Communications Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: BESC), a fast-growing
provider of patented Internet-based communication solutions, today announced
it has reached an agreement with Kenner, Louisiana-based Dove International to
market the Bestnetcall service in several key South American markets,
including Brazil and Peru, as well as the Caribbean.
The agreement reflects BestNet's accelerated effort to develop
international markets through alliances with channel partners in targeted
geographic markets. The principals of Dove International have a five-year
track record of developing new business ventures in high-growth Latin American
and Caribbean markets.
Dove International will focus on selling BestNet's expanded product line,
including long distance, conference calling and value-added services, to
business users as well as individuals, particularly those who initiate
international long-distance calls at cybercafes. To support the marketing
efforts, Dove International will leverage a multi-media campaign and direct
sales initiative to drive subscribers to newly developed web domains for
Brazil (http://www.bestnetbrasil.com.br ) and Peru (http://www.bestnetperu.com ). Dove
International will also market Bestnetcall in key Caribbean markets, including
the Republic of Haiti (http://www.bestnethaiti.com ), and using the name
http://www.bestnetlatino.com in all of Latin America.
"We are very pleased to have Dove International as channel partner in
these important markets," said Robert Blanchard, president and chief executive
officer of BestNet. "There is a tremendous and growing demand for high-
quality, cost-effective international calling in South America and the
Caribbean. With Bestnetcall, business and individuals callers will be able to
use the web to access inexpensive North American long-distance rates and call
quality with a click of a mouse."
The Bestnetcall service works simply: Users log onto the website and
enter the number they are calling from and the number they are calling to.
They click 'Dial Now' and moments later their phone rings. As soon as they
answer, the phone they are calling to rings, and the call is connected on
regular phone lines. Callers in more than 120 countries are saving up to 70
percent on international long-distance calls using Bestnetcall. There are no
hidden costs or monthly fees; Bestnetcall customers only pay the low per-
minute rate -- which is a key differentiator in the marketplace.
"The sheer size of markets such as Brazil and Peru, which have a combined
population of more than 200 million, represents an excellent opportunity for
BestNet," said Don Lacour, General Manager of Dove International.
"Corporations in these markets are growing globally and can benefit from high
quality, cost-effective long-distance. Additionally, the growing popularity
of public cybercafes presents an excellent and low-cost opportunity for
Brazilians, Peruvians and Haitians to make inexpensive calls worldwide."
