Vitex Announces Webcast of its Annual Shareholders Meeting
     WATERTOWN, Mass., June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- V.I. Technologies,
Inc. (Nasdaq: VITX) ("Vitex" or "the Company") announced today that it will
hold a live webcast of its Annual Shareholders Meeting, which is scheduled for
Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. (EDT). Following the meeting, as part of
the webcast, Dr. Samuel Ackerman, Chairman and CEO of Vitex will provide a
corporate update, including the status of the Company's development programs.
Dr. Ackerman's remarks are scheduled to begin at the later of 10:30 a.m. or
the conclusion of the meeting.
    The webcast will be accessible through the Company's website at
http://www.vitechnologies.com.  Following the live event, an archived version
of the webcast will be available through July 7, 2005.  Please plan to
register for the live webcast at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled
presentation start time.
