Site is Designed to Provide Investors Immediate Access to Enhanced Financial
Charts and Investment Planning Tools, Expanded Independent Research Offering
NEW YORK, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Waterhouse USA today announced the
launch of its new website at http://www.tdwaterhouse.com. The site offers
investors streamlined navigation, faster access to improved financial charts
and data plus Morningstar(R) mutual fund research, screeners and Instant
X-Ray(SM). The addition of Morningstar makes TD Waterhouse's research offering
one of the most robust in the discount brokerage category.
"We listened to our customers and built a new web site that offers
investors an outstanding online investing experience," said Janet Hawkins,
executive vice president and chief marketing officer for TD Waterhouse USA.
"TD Waterhouse now offers easier access to comprehensive financial news and
charts pages, planning and learning tools for life-stage planning and a vast
library of independent third-party research."
Highlights of the new web site include streamlined navigation tabs
throughout the site. Overview pages present investors with a snapshot of
topics that can be found in each section of the website. Quotes and research
can now be accessed faster and are easier to use because both functions are on
the same page. Account information has been simplified; a new consolidated
account summary page gives investors an at-a-glance view of their investments
and real-time account activity. Investors can now link all their accounts and
switch between them without logging in and out with separate account numbers.
TD Waterhouse also has expanded its set of Standard & Poor's learning tools
including easy-to-use financial planning calculators and market commentary.
Valuable online seminars cover different life-stages such as retirement,
college planning, tax planning and small business planning.
The new web site, including the Morningstar offering, complements the
firm's ongoing efforts to provide self-directed investors with the most
expansive and easy-to-use library of independent third-party research. In
addition to Morningstar mutual fund and exchange-traded fund (ETF) tools and
content, TD Waterhouse now boasts industry-leading research from Goldman
Sachs, MarketEdge Second Opinion, Standard & Poor's Reports, Reuters ProVestor
Plus and Vickers Recent Insider.
"With access to Morningstar research hand tools, TD Waterhouse customers
can manage their portfolios with even more confidence than before," Hawkins
continued. "Providing leading research such as Morningstar is another reason
why so many investors are switching from higher priced brokers to TD
Waterhouse."
TD Waterhouse customers will have free access to the following Morningstar
tools, including:
Morningstar Instant X- Ray - The power of the tool is its ability to
"X-Ray" the underlying holdings of the securities held in order to
assess the true asset allocation, diversification and risk of the
portfolio. The tool recognizes mutual fund, ETF, individual stock and
