NEW YORK, June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- International Coal Group, Inc. today
announced that it has hired Charles Snavely as Vice President - Planning and
Acquisitions. In this capacity, Mr. Snavely will be responsible for strategic
business planning, acquisitions and divestitures. He will be based in the
corporate office at Ashland, Kentucky, and will report to the President and
CEO.
Mr. Snavely was most recently President of both the Bell County Coal
Company and Bledsoe Coal Corporation operating subsidiaries of James River
Coal Company. Prior to joining James River Coal, he served in various
management positions with Massey Energy Company, including President of Martin
County Coal Corporation, President of Rawl Sales & Processing Co., and
President of Sidney Coal Company. Mr. Snavely holds a Bachelors Degree in
Mining Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
