CHS Names Kevin Williams Propane Vice President

    ST. PAUL, Minn., June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CHS Inc., one of the
nation's leading energy and grain-based foods companies, announced today it
has named Kevin L. Williams as vice president of propane.
    CHS, which markets energy products under the Cenex(R) brand, is the
nation's fourth largest propane wholesaler.
    Williams, of Midland, Texas, previously was with Duke Energy Field
Services (DEFS), a joint venture of Duke Energy Corporation and ConocoPhillips
since its formation in 1993.  Prior to the creation of DEFS, he spent much of
his career with Duke Energy and its predecessor firms, where he gained
experience in the natural gas gathering, processing, storage, marketing and
transportation businesses.
    While with DEFS, Williams held positions as director of South Texas
Operations, director of Commodity Services, vice president of the Rocky
Mountain and Canada Regions, and, most recently, vice president of the Western
Division.
    He earned a bachelor's degree in management from the University of
Northern Iowa and has completed work toward a master's degree in business
administration, with a focus on international business, from the University of
St. Thomas, Houston, Texas. He also served on the local United Way board of
directors.
