Frontier Begins LAX-SFO Service Today, Bridging California With Five Non-Stop Flights Each Day

Airline Will Soon Announce Sixth Roundtrip and Has Received Tentative
Authority to Fly Daily Non-Stop Service from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas,
                             Mexico, This Fall

DENVER, June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq:
FRNT) begins service on its new route between Los Angeles International
Airport and San Francisco International Airport today, June 29, 2006.
Frontier is the only low cost carrier connecting passengers directly
between the two airports, and its introductory $59 one-way fares slashed
ticket prices by over 50% on the Bay to Basin route. The $59 fares are
available for purchase through Friday, July 28. Additionally, as a thank
you to passengers, Frontier is offering free DIRECTV(R) for all passengers
through Labor Day, September 4. Frontier travelers can also collect double
bonus miles through EarlyReturns, Frontier's frequent flyer program.
The first of Frontier's five flights per day departs from Gate 41 in
San Francisco at 6:10 a.m., arriving in Los Angeles at 7:30 a.m. Daily
flights from Los Angeles to San Francisco begin at 7:15 a.m. with return
flights leaving as late as 8:25 p.m. from San Francisco and 9:00 p.m. from
Los Angeles. Passengers utilizing the new service will fly aboard
Frontier's new Airbus A319 aircraft, with 33 inches of legroom and 24
channels of DIRECTV(R) service.
Frontier's new route is the airline's first point-to-point service in
California, although it has been serving both cities through its Denver
hub, with seven daily flights between Los Angeles and Denver and five daily
flights between San Francisco and Denver. Frontier is also excited to
announce the airline added a total of six kiosks in Los Angeles and four
kiosks in San Francisco allowing passengers more choices and quicker
check-in times.
"The Los Angeles to San Francisco corridor provides us with an exciting
opportunity to bring our low-cost, high-value service to passengers flying
between San Francisco and Los Angeles who are tired of traveling to Oakland
or San Jose to find affordable Southern California flights. Frontier's new
route is the perfect solution for business or leisure travelers looking for
fast and convenient travel options between two of California's most popular
destination cities," said Jeff Potter, president and CEO of Frontier.
"More people come to San Francisco from the Los Angeles area than from
any other market in America," added Deborah Reinow, vice president of
tourism for the San Francisco Convention & Visitor's Bureau. "Beginning
today, Northern and Southern California are better connected by the
high-value product Frontier offers."
Frontier expects to serve 158,000 passengers annually on the new route,
pumping approximately $24 million dollars into the California economy each
year. As a result of Frontier's new route, 40 new employee positions will
be created in San Francisco and Los Angeles, for a total of 80 new jobs.
As part of the inaugural flight celebration, Frontier executives will
host local dignitaries and community leaders at both SFO and LAX to provide
an overview of the new service plans and tours of the new Airbus A319. As
an added bonus, all Frontier passengers traveling through SFO on June 29
are invited to enjoy a free breakfast or lunch at Perry's, the restaurant
located next to Gate 43, one of Frontier's new gates.
"San Francisco Airport passengers should be afforded every opportunity
to travel quickly and easily between cities," said John L. Martin, SFO
Director. "Frontier's new five-times daily service combined with a Bart
station within the terminal and short passenger screening times make Los
Angeles more accessible than ever before."
New Non-Stop Service from Los Angles to Cabo San Lucas Tentatively
Awarded
In addition to the new LAX-SFO route, Frontier received tentative
approval last week from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to
begin daily non-stop service from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
(SJD). It is Frontier's fourteenth Mexico route and Los Angeles is the
sixth non-Denver city to offer Frontier flights south of the border.
Frontier is the only low cost carrier flying from Los Angeles to Cabo
San Lucas, and will serve the route with its Airbus 319. Seats on the new
LAX-SJD route will go on sale pending final approval from the DOT, with the
inaugural flight scheduled for some time in the fall.
"We're pleased that Frontier Airlines is introducing low-cost air
service to San Francisco and Cabo San Lucas," said LAX Airport Manager Jens
Rivera. "Their new daily service complements Los Angeles World Airports'
focus to enhance airport service and amenities at LAX."
