LEXINGTON, Mass., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN)
board of directors has elected John D. Harris II, 42, a vice president of the
Company. Harris was appointed vice president of Contracts for the Company
earlier this month. Harris also becomes a member the Raytheon Company
Leadership Team, which is comprised of the top business and functional leaders
of the Company.
Harris replaces Richard Foley, 59, who has chosen to retire after 36 years
of distinguished service to Raytheon.
Harris joined Raytheon in 1983 and has held positions of increasing
responsibility within the Company and Contracts function. Most recently, he
was vice president of Contracts for Raytheon's government and defense
businesses. Prior to that, he was vice president of Operations and Contracts
for the former Electronic Systems business, staff executive for the Raytheon
Leadership Team and vice president of Contracts for Raytheon Technical
Services Company.
Harris holds a bachelor's degree in finance and operations management from
Boston University.
