SHEDIAC, NB, June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - InteliSys Aviation Systems
of America Inc. (OTCBB:IYSA) announced today the signing of a renewal
agreement with Air Arabia LLC, first and only Low Fare Carrier in the Middle
East. This renews an original agreement between the companies which was signed
on August 8, 2003. Under the terms of the renewed agreement, InteliSys will
continue providing Air Arabia with its internet-based "amelia" flight
reservation, distribution and sales channel management system for a number of
years into the future.
Ralph Eisenschmid, InteliSys CEO said, "We are very pleased and honoured
to have the relationship between Air Arabia and InteliSys reinforced. The
visionaries and stakeholders who founded the Air Arabia concept saw a defined
need in the Gulf and beyond, and worked to fill it. The courage and hard work
by their entire team have paid off with a superb, widely accepted product. The
amount of experience InteliSys has acquired in this market since 2003 is
tremendous." Mr. Eisenschmid continued, "We knew the westernized Low Fare
model would not be workable in these emerging markets. There are fundamental
differences in the way these carriers and their customers interact. By working
in partnership with Air Arabia, we adapted the amelia system's distribution
model and created new tools to specifically accommodate the travelling public
and the travel trade in this region." said Mr. Eisenschmid.
Commenting on the relationship with InteliSys, Mr. Adel Ali, CEO for Air
Arabia said, "After conducting a review of the alternatives presently
available in the market, we decided to continue our partnership with
InteliSys, and to expand this relationship into new areas. We look forward to
a long, innovative and mutually prosperous relationship with the InteliSys
team."
Mr. Ali continued, "Almost two years ago, when we originally selected the
amelia system, it was based on the system's functionality and features. Our
due diligence also showed a high level of satisfaction among the InteliSys
users." Mr. Ali continued, "We needed a responsive partner who is as nimble as
we are, and can support our tremendously rapid expansion. Since the beginning
of our relationship, InteliSys' amelia system has enabled us to capture
specific market opportunities and deploy sales channels that may not have been
possible otherwise. This allows us to bring added value to our customers in a
service package that continues to gain momentum in the region. It's all about
bringing Air Arabia closer to its customers."
Since 1987, InteliSys has focused its marketing and solution development
on the regional and Low Fare airline market. "amelia" is InteliSys'
proprietary, integrated suite of airline management tools designed
specifically for this rapidly growing segment of the airline industry. The
"amelia" solution is delivered over the internet. InteliSys markets its line
of software products and services globally through a direct sales force and
licensed resellers.
Air Arabia presently serves points in India, Sri Lanka, Africa and
throughout the Middle East with its growing fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
Additional routes are being added steadily. Air Arabia was established on
February 3, 2003, as the first low fare airline in the Middle East.
