new The good guys! store on Arden Way in Sacramento. The store will celebrate
its grand opening on Friday, July 17 at 10 a.m.
The new 30,000 sq. ft. store will replace an existing The good guys! store
right across the street in the Howe 'Bout Arden shopping center.
"The good guys! Arden Way store has been a success for over ten years. We
are pleased to bring the AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION concept to Sacramento. With
the store more than doubling in size, we'll be able to offer even more
cutting-edge consumer electronics to our customers," said President and Chief
Executive Officer Robert Gunst.
The AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION store will feature the latest in audio, video,
communications and computer technologies in easy-to-shop, home-like
environments. The format aims to dissolve barriers between traditional
product categories and reducing customer intimidation and frustration with
today's quickly-changing consumer technology.
"With the proliferation of new digital entertainment products, including
the soon-to-be introduced High Definition TVs, the good guys! EXPO format is
the best place for consumers to see, hear and learn about how these exciting
products can enhance their lives," said regional manager Les Holmes. "This is
going to be the hottest place in Sacramento," he added.
Four feature "EXPO" rooms are central to the AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION store
-- the "ULTRA MEDIA CENTER," "FAMILY MEDIA CENTER," WORK@HOME.COM" and "MULTI-
ROOM SYSTEMS." Each room is customized to provide shoppers with an
introduction to the latest technologies. Throughout the store and the EXPO
rooms, Sales Specialists that are broadly trained in all categories are
available to give customers more thorough demonstrations of product benefits
and overall consultation on designing a personalized home theater or media
center in clear, simple language.
The new store, featuring wide-open spaces, a soft color palette, pale
hardwood floors and clear easy-to-read signage, is located at 2121 Arden Way
in Sacramento. It is the fifth AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION store to roll out under
The good guys! extensive company-wide remodel and new store plan.
