Gardner Denver, Inc. (NYSE: GDI) announced today that its Board of Directors
has appointed KPMG LLP as the company's independent public accountants,
replacing Arthur Andersen LLP. The change is effective immediately.
"After a thorough evaluation of the alternatives, the Board concluded that
it would be in the best interest of Gardner Denver and its shareholders to
engage KPMG for future public accounting services," stated Ross J. Centanni,
