Safety, and Community Report. The report features results of Boise's 2003
performance in sustainable forestry and manufacturing, protecting air and
water quality, recycling, and conserving water and energy. In addition, the
publication reports on the company's safety performance and contribution and
volunteer programs.
The new report gives details on Boise's independent, third-party,
forest-certification audits; Boise and the Environment, an environmental
statement; the certification of the company's pulp and paper mill in Jackson,
Alabama, under the ISO 14001 standard; new recycled-content office papers
offered in the company's OfficeMax(R) stores; and safety milestones reached by
facilities during 2003. The publication also reports on the many

the company operates.
