World Airways Names Vice Presidents for Flight Operations, Technical Operations

    PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- World Airways, Inc.
(Nasdaq: WLDA), a leading international passenger and cargo charter airline,
has named two vice presidents at the company's headquarters in Peachtree City,
Ga.
    Gary Goodpaster was promoted from director to vice president, flight
operations. A 15-year World veteran, Goodpaster is an MD-11 captain and check
airman. He had previous experience with United Express.
    Larry Montford has been named vice president, technical operations. He is
responsible for maintenance of World's wide-body fleet of 16 MD-11 and DC-10
aircraft. Formerly vice president of technical operations for Air Jamaica,
Montford has more than 24 years of aviation experience, including positions
with Northwest Airlines and USAirways.  Goodpaster and Montford both report to
Charles McDonald, senior vice president, operations.
