Award in the manufacturing category at the M2M United Conference in Chicago.
Gardner Denver was honored for its successful adoption of M2M technology with

20/20 Remote Monitoring Service. At the M2M United Conference June 28 in
Chicago, M2M Magazine ( http://www.m2mmag.com ), the leading publication
covering machine-to-machine communications, presented the awards to the most
successful adopters demonstrating how their deployment created business value
for their company
The Value Chain Award winners were chosen by a group of industry analysts,
from Harbor Research, Gartner, Aberdeen and ARC Advisory Group along with the
editors of M2M Magazine. Judging criteria was based on technological
resources, strategies, and tactics used to overcome business challenges. The
entries were judged on individual merits and to the extent to which they met
the following criteria; benefits to the overall business practices,
productivity improvement, increased ability to adapt to market conditions,
enhanced customer service, use of technology to deliver an integrated
application, technical complexity, high level of strategic planning,
implementation of a practical use of an industry standard, relationship
building, close integration with customers, originality and ingenuity of
solution development, and how production/delivery processes are designed to
meet quality requirements.
"Starting this summer, Gardner Denver will offer ESP 20/20 Remote
Monitoring, an interactive knowledge-management service, in partnership with
nPhase, LLC, and Digi International," said Mike Bakalyar, manager, Enhanced
Services for the Compressor Division, Gardner Denver, Inc. "Our new service is
an important component in a comprehensive package of operations based services
that enhance the performance and cost effectiveness of the compressed air
systems support of production processes."
Bakalyar added, "Gardner Denver can play an active role in assuring that
equipment is operated at best practice efficiency and maintained to ensure
reliability and uptime. The cost to operate the asset is far greater than the
cost to acquire and we are offering a tool to facilitate an active role in
assuring LTCO (lowest total cost of ownership)."
The service is site based rather than asset based and is designed to reach
and benefit a broad segment of the market rather than an elite slice of the
market. The benefit to small and midsize enterprises is proportionally as
significant as to the larger enterprises, many of who have already invested in
some form of this technology.

M2M - What Is It?
M2M stands for Machine to Machine, Machine to Mobile, and Mobile to
Machine, and is a newly evolved category that defines the interconnecting of
machines with IT infrastructure and mobilized work forces. M2M offers
significant new opportunities for businesses across major industries to
compete more effectively in our information economy. The goal of an M2M
solution is to increase efficiency and raise revenues by increasing an
organization's service levels, performance and competitiveness. This is
achieved by allowing users to access information, receive alerts regarding
critical situations, and control and manipulate variables on their dispersed
machine assets via a computer or PDA device.
