ATLANTA and STAMFORD, Conn., July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EarthLink
(Nasdaq: ELNK), the nation's next generation Internet Service Provider, and
Time Warner Cable, a unit of Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX), today announced
that they have reached a new agreement to provide EarthLink broadband
online service on Time Warner Cable systems.
Under the new agreement, the parties will make available EarthLink
broadband online service to the approximately 19 million homes passed by
Time Warner Cable's broadband cable systems. This service area is expected
to increase upon completion of Time Warner Cable's previously announced
transactions with Adelphia and Comcast.
EarthLink has been offered by Time Warner Cable since November 2000.
