MILPITAS, Calif., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sipex Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: SIPX.PK) today announced the appointment of Mr. Stuart
Schneck to the position of General Counsel. Mr. Schneck brings to Sipex
more than 25 years of legal experience in high tech and consumer products.
In this position Mr. Schneck, who has been consulting with Sipex since
January 2005, will manage and oversee all legal matters of the Company,
reporting to Sipex's CFO.

Counsel for Microsoft's WebTV unit, and Vice President and General Counsel
for the Kransco Group.
Mr. Schneck earned his BA from Miami University (Ohio) and Juris
Doctorate from Ohio State University. He is admitted to practice in
California, Ohio, and New York.
