NASHUA, N.H., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- GN Netcom, a world leader in
professional telecommunication headsets for the telephone and computer
industries, announced that it has completed the previously reported
acquisition of ACS Wireless, Inc., a major, US-based, headset manufacturer.
ACS Wireless stockholders today approved the terms of the agreement. A new
company, GN Netcom, Inc., has been formed by the merger of GN Netcom's North
American organization, GN Netcom/Unex Inc., and ACS Wireless, Inc.
P. Michael Fairweather will be President and CEO of GN Netcom, Inc., a
position he held previously with GN Netcom/Unex Inc. The company plans to
continue operations in both Nashua, New Hampshire and Scotts Valley,
California. Other members of the management team announced today include:
Dean Kacos, VP & CFO; Christian Christiansen, West Coast Plant Manager and VP
of R&D; Carol J. Meier, VP of Marketing; Michael W. Ferguson, VP of Sales;
Hugh Knox, VP of Telco and OEM Sales; Thomas R. Kivela, VP of Operations; and
Lea Tavani, HR Manager.
The new company, GN Netcom, Inc., will continue to design, manufacture,
and market an extensive selection of innovative telephone and computer
headsets under the brand names GN Netcom, UNEX, and ACS. Products are sold to
the call center, commercial, mobile, and consumer markets through the
organization's worldwide distribution.
