Oxford Health Plans Expands Healthy Bonus Program - Program Adds New Discounts From Leading Retailers -

    TRUMBULL, Conn., July 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Oxford Health Plans,
Inc. (NYSE: OHP) announced today that is has expanded its Healthy Bonus(SM)
program, an industry-leading program that offers members special discounts on
a wide range of health-related products and services, including fitness,
weight loss, nutrition and spa services.
    "Oxford is committed to supporting our members' health no matter where
they fall on the health spectrum through discount programs such as Healthy
Bonus; through health reminder programs like Active Partner; and through
disease management and Oxford's Best Practices programs," said Alan M. Muney,
M.D., executive vice president and chief medical officer at Oxford.  "We want
to provide them with the products, services and information that may help them
reach and maintain their healthiest state."
    Oxford has added 10 new product and service discounts to its Healthy Bonus
program for exercise and sports equipment -- OMNIFitness and Princeton Ski
Shops; karate classes and exercise tapes -- Tiger Schulmann's Karate and STOTT
PILATES; personal care products from Brookstone; magazine subscriptions for
Health, Cooking Light and Yoga Journal; and vitamins and supplements from
Puritan's Pride Vitamins.  In addition, members with infants and young
children will receive discounts on childproofing products through Safe
Beginnings.
