SAN FRANCISCO, July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- THE GOOD GUYS! (Nasdaq: GGUY) today
announced that sales for its third quarter ended June 30, 1998 were
$209.1 million, up 7% from $194.8 million in the third quarter of fiscal
1997. Comparable store sales for the quarter increased 6%.
For the first nine months of fiscal 1998, sales increased 3% to
$708.4 million from $686.5 million for the same period last year. Comparable
store sales for the first three quarters of fiscal 1998 increased 3% from
1997 levels.
During the quarter the Company opened its third WOW!, Multimedia
Superstore located in Glendale, California.
