New Hard Rock Sound Asylum Room Brings Sight and Sound Experience to Life
LAS VEGAS, July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Ultimate Electronics (Nasdaq: ULTE) will celebrate the re-grand opening of
their two Las Vegas locations on July 11 with the launch of the "Hard Rock
Sound Asylum" theme room, which will allow customers to experience the very
best in home theater systems available from Klipsch Audio Technologies.
As customers walk into the Hard Rock Sound Asylum theme room, a touch
screen will engage the lighting and audio visual systems for product
demonstrations. Klipsch loudspeakers will deliver the dynamic rock 'n' roll
soundtrack for the entire room to envelop visitors in the sights and sounds
that first transformed them into music lovers. The room also showcases a
Sharp projector, Pioneer components and Berkline home theater chairs.
Featured inside the Hard Rock Sound Asylum will be signature memorabilia
from Hard Rock Cafes around the world. Collaboration between Ultimate
Electronics and Hard Rock Cafe blended the classic Hard Rock Cafe look and
Ultimate Electronics' experience rooms to bring sight and sound to life. "The
entire room will immerse music fans in a casual club atmosphere with the best
sound quality from Klipsch," said Dave Workman, COO and president of Ultimate
Electronics.
"Through this partnership, we will provide an enhanced shopping experience
to customers by creating a unique environment in the rock 'n' roll style that
Hard Rock Cafe is famous for," said Chris Tomasso, Hard Rock Cafe
International's vice president of marketing.
Ultimate Electronics plans to invest an estimated $1 million to implement
the Hard Rock Sound Asylum theme room in 35 of its retail locations throughout
the U.S. during 2003 and 2004. "The partnership with Hard Rock and Klipsch
enables us to leverage our brands and combine entertainment and fun," added
Workman. "With the new design and branding of the Las Vegas locations, we
believe we have established a strong program which differentiates Ultimate
Electronics and more importantly, connects customers with music."
